What it looks like
Referring to the Diagram we create a defensible space for your home. According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department this pertains to a 50 ft radius around the home. Defensible Space is the buffer zone you create between your home and the grass, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation that surround it. By strategically clearing, spacing, and managing vegetation around your property, you reduce the fuel available for a wildfire to burn — slowing its spread and giving firefighters a safe area to work from to defend your home.
Landscaping
We have a widespread tool and skill inventory and can fulfill the majority of landscaping needs. Common landscaping relating to wildfire mitigation often consists of pruning scrub oak, removing stumps, and trimming overgrown or dying branches, and laying mulch. Fire mitigation and beautiful landscaping go hand in hand. We maintain landscapes that are not only attractive, but strategically planned to reduce fire risk — so your property is as safe as it is inviting.
